Modeling and Simulation of Incentive Mechanisms in Ethereum
Burianová, Tereza ; Fiedor, Jan (referee) ; Perešíni, Martin (advisor)
Tématem této bakalářské práce je poplatkový mechanismus v síti Ethereum, zejména změny představeny v EIP-1559. Cílem práce je zkoumat chování mechanismu a navrhnout případná možná vylepšení v případě nalezených nedostatků. Dříve používaný aukční systém vyžadoval libovolné nastavení výše poplatku uživatelem, což vedlo k přeplatkům a vysoké volatilitě výše poplatků. Cíle práce byly splněny a výsledky byly prezentovány.
Control unit for aeroponic growing system
Vrabec, Miroslav ; Dulík, Tomáš (referee) ; Klozar, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the history of a method of plants cultivation without original substrate. The method is hydroponics and its subsequent development is called aeroponics. This work outlines the design of the whole aeroponic system including a control unit. The control unit has been designed to control the injection of nutrient solution, which is essential to the life of plants.Further, the control unit performs the control of lighting period, temperature, air flow and also regulation of nutrient solution pH. The control unit also keeps records of all data necessary for the monitoring process and for the evaluation of time differencies in the system.

NFT a as profile pictures on social media
Masařík, Vojtěch ; Rosenfeldová, Jana (advisor) ; Švelch, Jaroslav (referee)
The diploma thesis "NFTs as profile pictures on social media" focuses on the young blockchain technology of non-fungible tokens and one of its most common use cases. The theoretical part of the thesis presents key terms and concepts closely related to NFTs and profile pictures. The practical part of the thesis consists of the research itself, a qualitative study conducted via semi-structured interviews with participants who use NFTs as profile pictures on social media. The aim of the research is to find out where and why, in relation to self-presentation, are NFTs used as profile pictures on social media.
NFT Minting System on Cardano Blockchain
Tran, M. ; Dzurenda, P.
Nowadays almost everything is digitalized and online. This can cause many security issues for our data. They can be leaked, misused, or even compromised. Therefore, we need technology, which can secure digital assets. The solution to this problem can be blockchain technology and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT). This article presents our open-source implementation of an automated NFT minting system on the Cardano blockchain. We research the capabilities of NFTs on Cardano and possibilities to create an NFT minting system similar to other successful but proprietary NFT minting systems. Our system is built on Cardano command-line interface commands in combination with Python language for easy handling of the minting process.
Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs): A hype or hope? Analysis of random NFT portfolios
Iordosopol, Ana ; Krištoufek, Ladislav (advisor) ; Nechvátalová, Lenka (referee)
This thesis reflects on the newly emerged alternative asset class of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). We perform both qualitative and quantitative analyses on the matter. In the empirical part, we construct different types of random portfolios to investigate the performance of cryptocurrency- based portfolios after the possible inclusion of NFTs in such. Our results suggest that as of the end of 2022, portfolios of Bitcoin and Ether perform better without NFTs, thus rejecting the previous assumptions of limited diversification potential of NFTs, which was detected during the last crisis period during the COVID-19 pandemic. The qualitative analysis on the topic, however, suggests that NFTs are not just the hype and the innovative blockchain solutions that NFTs represent may be of greater use in the near future. Therefore, despite of non-efficiency of NFTs as a financial asset in 2022, they still display significant potential as a disruptive technology. Keywords NFT, Cryptocurrency, Random portfolio, Blockchain, Non-fungible token. Title Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs): A hype or hope? Analysis of random NFT portfolios.
Digital fashion and its marketing through the eyes of Czech brands
Laufer, David ; Hejlová, Denisa (advisor) ; Ježková, Tereza (referee)
The bachelor's thesis brings knowledge about digital fashion and its marketing. It examines the impact of digital technologies on the design, promotion, sale and wearing of clothing and based on research and campaigns by companies abroad it identifies numerous uses to streamline and enrich business processes and consumer experiences. The thesis then examines the views of respondents from Czech brands working with digital fashion - digital fashion studios giz'mo lab and Ofform3D and modeling agency New Aliens offering digital scans of models. They perceive marketing as the strongest segment for digital fashion and talk about their own practice for example at the Prague and Helsinki fashion weeks. According to the respondents, the digital form enables numerous business applications that strengthen production, promotion and sales, but can also just serve purely as an artistic form in the virtual environment or enriching physical clothing. Digital fashion also has the potential to increase sustainability - however, it consumes energy and can be exploited by fast fashion, which makes this area problematic. Most respondent's worries emerge also in the context of NFTs. The divisions of business and art, realism and dream aesthetics, physical and virtual experience were present throughout the interviews....

Alzheimer's disease-related changes in phosphorylation of collapsin response mediator protein 2 (CRMP2) and their effect on neuronal function
Škrlantová, Alice ; Balaštík, Martin (advisor) ; Balík, Aleš (referee)
CRMP2 was first identified in 1995 as a mediator of Sema3A signalization pathway which leads to axon growth cone collapse. Since then CRMP2 was designated as an essential cue during neuronal polarity estabilishment and neuronal growth in embryonic life. CRMP2 was also found hyperphosphorylated in NFT's and this finding led to further research of CRMP2 function in the pathogenesis of AD. The activity and proper function of CRMP2 is regulated by phosphorylation and a deeper look into the mechanism of this modification is necessary for understanding how CRMP2 influences the function of neural cells. In this thesis I focus on signaling pathways, kinases and interaction partners of CRMP2 and describe how aberrant regulation of these interactions leads to Alzheimerʼs disease development.
